About admirable path counseling
Our Philosophy
At Admirable Path Counseling, we believe that health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. We strive to promote holistic mental health and wellness through our counseling, therapy and patient education services.
We believe that every individual possesses the ability to access mental health care, set goals, and improve daily functioning.
Our Provider: Karen Bryant, M.S.W, LCSW
Karen (she/her) earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. She earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Texas.
Karen is a therapist committed to helping individuals learn how to build healthier relationships, improve daily functioning, and learn to cope with life's challenges. Her work focuses on targeting ineffective behaviors, habits, and beliefs. Karen believes in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients identify problem areas and develop solutions.
Karen is passionate about helping individuals engage in deeply engrained capacities for improvement. Karen is open to supporting those with varying mental health needs. She specifically supports children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, family discord, work stress, and substance use disorder. Karen supports those from all walks of life!
During interactions with clients, Karen utilizes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Compassion-Focused (CFT), Dialectal behavior (DBT), solution-focused (SFT), individual therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and social skills development.
My clients have described me as "caring," a "natural listener," "thoughtful," "honest," "non-judgemental," and "supportive." When not supporting clients, Karen enjoys reading, attending the latest movie releases, and spending time with extended family.
